KARACHI: The traffic plan has been released by Sindh Police for the 10th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS 2018) in Karachi.

The 10th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar being called as Ideas 2018 is to take place in Karachi at Expo Center from 27th of November. It is a four day event which is for trade visitors and defence delegates. The event would also impact the traffic of the busiest city of Pakistan.

Sindh Police has released new traffic plan for four days of the event for the frequent users of those roads impacted. Over 300 policemen will be deployed to cover the exhibition venue.

University Road will be open for traffic for all four days, while Hasan Square flyover will be closed. And also the route from Hasan Square to Stadium Road will get close from 7am on 27 November. The roads from Dalmia to Karsaz will be open.

However, traffic of Liaquatabad will be diverted to University Road. And to avoid traffic, you can use Shahrah e Faisal, Sharah e Pakistan, Rashid Minhas Road and Shaheed E Millat Road.

Heavy Traffic would not be allowed to use roads from Nipa to Millennium Mall and Karsaz to Hasan Square. Residents of nearby of Expo Center would only get an entrance by showing their ID Cards. Parking around the Expo is not allowed due to security threats.

The twitter handle of Sindh Police has also tweeted to guide public about which roads are block and which route to use.

The Ideas 2018 has been an important event for Pakistan as well as the whole region for years, as it bring together countries around the world to showcase the latest technologies and innovations. The event will continue till 30th November.
