Practical experiments are by far the more effective way of learning than any other format of learning especially when it comes to the learning of science. To make this happen The Dawood Foundation (TDF) introduces first-ever Magnifi-Science studio in Karachi.
This studio is quite productive for the student to experience, gain knowledge and explore different aspects of science in the most fun way possible, the studio is filled with the funs activities of technology, engineering, optical illusions and mathematics. Magnifi-science Studio also conducts the events, programme, debates and discussions related to science with a purpose to promote creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.
The venue contains 60 exhibits created for practical learning purpose for children. At the launch event of the studio the CEO of TDF, Sabrina Dawood talked about the significance of critical thinking and love of science in the young generation of Pakistan for the nation’s development.
She further said;
TDF Studio is built on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) concepts that will foster imagination and creativity in young visitors in a fun-filled environment. Such learning spaces in Karachi are extremely important as they provide an educational family entertainment.
TDF Magnifi-Science studio groundbreaking initiative for the children of Karachi, a place where children can learn from the outside the classroom experience regardless of their background. Children are free to learn, experiment, ask the question and play with the exhibits to learn the core of the science.
The studio segmented every subject into different categories that include;
- Propulsion /Forces
- Mathematics
- Mind Games
- Pre-Engineering
- Tinkering Studio/Design Lab
- Acoustic and Sound,
- Health,
- Optical Illusion
- Light
- Energy
Each category has various activities that include different games and exhibits.
TDF studio is located at the 4th floor Dawood Centre and will be open for general public from today. The studio can be operated for school trips, workshops, and science exhibition, and will be open for 7 days of the week.
Tickets are available on the venue, Rs.400 for weekdays and Rs.500 for weekends.
