Asad Umar Resignation
Thursday eve, Asad Umar posted a tweet on his twitter handle stating his resignation from the position of finance minister. The decision was made at such a crucial period as the IMF bailout package is in closing. Soon after his resignation news spread, the whole country fell into a panic state.
As part of a cabinet reshuffle PM desired that I take the energy minister portfolio instead of finance. However, I have obtained his consent to not take any cabinet position. I strongly believe @ImranKhanPTI is the best hope for Pakistan and inshallah will make a naya pakistan

While some understood the crisis our Beloved country is going through.
I won’t celebrate the resignation of Asad Umer. It’s a hard time on him it’s a hard time on Pakistan. He tried his level best but “Allah plans and they plan, verily He is the best of all planners.”

Hard Time For Pakistan
Umar made it clear that his resignation does not mean his loyalties with the PTI have come to an end. Whatever the case may be but this isn’t a good time for Asad Umar to leave his post as IMF talks are in the process. For the time being, Abdul Hafeez Shaikh is appointed as de facto finance minister.
Interview with Kashif Abbasi
In an exclusive interview with Kashif Abbasi on ARY News channel, Asad Umer clarified all the biased narrative built against him. When asked, were they not prepared to counter the problems faced by Pakistan`s economy. To which he replied according to the IMF Pakistan the current condition of Pakistan can’t change under a year or so it will take sacrifices from both people and political entities as they have to undergo a tremendous change to see any progress.
