Woman allegedly drowned her 2 years old daughter on Monday afternoon.
Shakeela the resident of Karachi who actually belongs to Gilgit Baltistan drowned her 2 years old daughter in the sea near Captain Farhan Ali Shaheed Park in DHA’s Phase 8. The body of the girl was found on Tuesday.
The 28 year old mother said, “there was not any place of her and her daughter in his house and neither her parents were ready to keep both of them [Shakeela and her daughter] so Shakeela decided to kill her daughter.”
“I had to commit suicide too but couldn’t do it”, she added.
A case has been registered against the mother Shakeela under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860 at Sahil police station.
Whereas, Shakeela’s in-laws tells the police that she is psychologically disturbed. However, the investigating officer Syeda Ghazala refused their statement and doesn’t agree with her in-laws.
Shakeela is a graduate and has completed her BBA. She married Muhammad Rashid Shah back in 2011.
