A group of people is saving cats at empress market
As after Govt notice to remove the shops around and inside Karachi’s biggest and the famous building Empress market. And as a Karachite we know that this market had pet shops too. Govt sent notice to the shopkeepers to leave the place before the action will be taken but they didn’t. So, when the Govt demolished the shops the pet left inside, and with that there used to be stray cats and dogs who used to feed on the butcher shops. Therefore, some of the animals are injured and many are facing hunger. As there is no one who would feed them, they are dying.
But an initiative is taken by some young boys to save these innocent creators and they made a facebook group by the name of SAVE THE CATS (EMPRESS MARKET – KARACHI)
And they are working on relocating and rescuing the animals there.

* EMPRESS MARKET’S CATS UPDATE *
– Day 2
Today we gave them food. We was unable to shift them today due to unavailability of van. We will be shifting them tomorrow morning at 7:00AM.
Tomorrow will be a very important day for all of us as the real shifting about to begin. Please guys come there. We really need people for help. We really really need guys for help us out for relocating these cats. Please be a part of our team. If you don’t want to be a part of our team that’s okay but please do something for these cats by yourself. They are love

Today we guys went there (Empress Market) to see the condition of the cats. Their condition is definitely not good as they even don’t know what happened to them. They are very hungry. They just need serious help and food to survive. Of course we provided them food today but this is not enough. A member of our group took 6 kittens with him because those kittens need serious care and probably are on feeding . One of the cat is injured also. There are almost 70+ cats. We decided that tomorrow morning we will be relocating them to a safe place where they can get some food also. We will relocate them through van, cartons and cages.
