What’s changed “Somewhere between”

As time is passing by, so much has changed around us and changing every second. We rarely notice the changes we are facing. We are all just going on with life, with the flow. But what we used to be how our childhood was and how things were before technology taking over. It was different. It was a huge difference.

This guy wrote something beautiful on “somewhere between” and to be honest it’s quite emotional. Especially if you’re a 90’s kid. Recalling our childhood like this is nostalgic yet sentimental. The way things used to be and the way things are now is just weird feelings.

Somewhere between
“ 8 toffees for 1 rupee” and
“1 toffee for 8 rupees”,
we grew up!

Somewhere between
“Ground mai aaja” (Come to the park) and
“Online aaja”, (Come online)
we grew up!

Somewhere between
“stealing chocolate of our sister” and “Buying chocolate for her children”,
we grew up!

Somewhere between
“Just five more mins Maa” and “Pressing the snooze button”,
we grew up!

Somewhere between
“Crying out loud just to get what we want” and
“Holding our tears when we are broken inside”,
we grew up!

Somewhere between
“I want to grow up” and
“I want to be a child again”,
we grew up!

Somewhere between
“Let’s meet and plan” and
“Let’s plan and meet”,
we grew up!

Somewhere between
“Being afraid of our parents”
and
“Praying for our parents” we finally grew up

And as we grew up, we realize;

How silently, our lives have changed…

 

This is something really heart touching. How genuine it is. The “Online Ajaa” part was heartbreaking. How technology has affected us. Of course, it has advantages but the disadvantages are making us sick silently and we don’t even know.
