Naya Pakistan is now slightly moving towards the old time’s electricity breakdown affected major parts of the Karachi on Thursday morning. The power breakdown was in between 5 am to 6 am.
High tension power line trips that lead the whole city in darkness
As a result of many areas like Defence, Model Colony, Malir, Korangi, Saddar, North Karachi, Nazimabad, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Clifton, and Shadman.
Thus the tripping of transmission from National Transmission and dispatch company lead the whole city in prolonged inconvenience.
The grid station of Baldia and Pipri are off that affected the 1800 MW station to off 650 megawatt supply. This in result cause tripping of main circuits of K-electric.
In result of no power supply the main water pumping station, Dhabeji faces a 72 inches water pipeline burst. Therefore many areas are also affected by no supply of water also.
This is the third power supply breakdown in the past 4 days in Karachi. Citizens are not happy with this frequent breakdowns of electricity. The social media is full of bitterness towards K-electric.
Karachi is experiencing disruption in power supply due to tripping in the EHT Network.
Supply from National Grid to the city is off.
Restoration work is underway.

Soon K-Electric took over the inconvenience by starting the restoration process of electricity.
The National grid station was restored at 8.43 am by supplying the electricity to many parts of a city. Soon the Dhabeji supply was also restored at 10 am.
In addition after 5 to 6 hours of load-shedding power supply restored.
Partial power supply from the National Grid has been restored successfully. Electricity has been restored at the Airport, Dhabeji and Gharo pumping stations of the Water Board along with Civil Hospital, Jinnah Hospital, Sindh Assembly and Governor House. 1/2

However, humidity caused the tripping of the supply station that has been restored now. Hope next time of breakdown is not coming soon.
