Facebook to introduce its “Breaking News” feature in coming week
Faceboook with its collaboration with respectable news channel starting “Breaking News” feature in its watch tab. The users will be provided with all the current news updates going around the world.
There will also be a subsection that will contain breaking news stories within the Watch tab. Though the social network will have to bear some expenses to collaborate with news publishers, analysts say that it will still be beneficial as “real-life” videos that fall in the news category are shared more than music or other dramas.
This feature will help users to differentiate between fake news and authentic news. As the sources will be authentic, the chances of faux news will be zero. Though this will also help Facebook to engage more audience as people already spent their most of the time on Facebook searching for content.
Now, Facebook has announced that programming will kick off next week, beginning with the premiere of Fox News Update from Fox News on Monday, July 16th. It has already announced more programs from CNN and ABC news for its breaking news section.

These programs will premier from next week, company stated that in official statement. It also mentioned more programs and weekly news series will be included with the time and especially local news content will be prioritize.
