People were bashing Hum Tv for scheduling Hum Awards during Election as the celebrities weren’t able to vote
As it was election day and whole social media was about election campaigns and shows. Every tweet, every post was about the upcoming election. In this whole situation where everyone was excited about election 2018, someone raises this fiasco about our celebrities who went to Canada just before the election for Hum Awards. People bashed Hum TV and actors for not voting and moving to Canada.

Referring to the 6th HUMAWARDS, it’s date was decided at least 6 months in advance as an event of this magnitude requires a lot of planning and preparation. Also, since a lot of resources have to be committed for the event it is not possible to change the date. (2/4)

It is worth mentioning here that many of the Artists participating in the Awards have cast their votes today and then left for the Awards. However a few had to leave earlier as they were required for rehearsals. (3/4)
